River's Edge Golf Academy

Golf is a game that many enjoy but few can master. Our goal at the River’s Edge Golf Academy is to provide our students with the skills that will allow you to enjoy the game more. Success in this game comes from understanding basic fundamentals and being able to apply those skills in a game or tournament situation.

We understand that golfers have different athletic potentials and limitations along with varying time available to commit to improving their golf game. As a result, each person’s capabilities and lifestyle are recognized when developing our instructional strategies to provide a lesson plan as unique as your swing.
 

During my career as a golf professional, I have been fortunate enough to learn from some of the game’s foremost teachers namely David Leadbetter and Tim Mahoney, both of which are currently ranked in Golf Digest’s top fifty golf instructors. I am excited to bring to River’s Edge an indoor teaching studio, which allows us to capture golfer’s swings on a state of the art video analysis program.

2012 Lesson Rates & Information 

The schedule below outlines our private and group instructional programs for those who have organized their own group. The lesson times will be arranged according to the group’s schedule. Pricing is per player and is subject to GST.
 

Video Analysis - add $ 10.00

Note: The length of an instruction session will vary according to the size of the group.
 

Group Swing Classes

If you are not part of a group you can still register for one of our group swing classes. These programs will go for 4 consecutive weeks.
 

The cost is $ 100.00 + GST per student and includes:

• (4) - 75 minute sessions
• Emphasis on fun and fundamentals for all facets of the game
• Lesson summary following each session
• Access to all instructional aids

Pre Season Tune Up

If you are preparing for that winter / spring get away to Phoenix or just want to get a head start on the season, we can help. Starting February 5th, you can arrange a private or semi private golf session at our indoor golf studio located in the Pro Shop. Some of my best teaching experiences have been when using state of the art video to help players of all levels.

Junior Golf Lessons

Our PGA staff offers a four week instructional series for juniors ages 5 - 16 starting on Monday, May 7 and runs for four consecutive Monday evenings. The starting times will be at 6:15 PM or 7:30 PM depending on the skill level and age of the junior. Note: There will be no lessons on Monday, May 21st (Victoria Day).

We also offer the four lesson program on Sundays beginning May 6th at 3:30 PM or 4:45 PM. Note: There will be no lessons on Sunday May 13th (Mothers Day)
 

The cost of these programs remains at only $ 50 + GST.
 

Our "Clubs for Kids" program sponsored by Westridge Electric, provides equipment at no charge for any junior who needs clubs.

WE KINDLY ASK THAT ALL OF OUR STUDENTS BE ON SITE AT LEAST 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE TIME OF THE LESSON TO MAXIMIZE THE ACTUAL LEARNING EXPERIENCE.
